My work explores the tension found in edges & at the edges of things. Influenced by the spaces where land/water and the natural/built environments meet, I've drawn influence form the mountains of my childhood; the lakes, rivers & oceans of the pacific northwest; triangles; bits of string; the spaces between things; rusted out boats; curves; hard edges; the tension in contradiction; earth tones; metaphor.
